Veterinary Receptionist Appreciation Day

Friday 1st October is Veterinary Receptionist Appreciation Day and we are celebrating the fantastic work of our front of house team and those behind the scenes.

Here at Anderson Moores Veterinary Specialists in Hampshire we have a team of 18 receptionists, every day undertaking different and varied administrative tasks and providing essential support to ensure the smooth running of the hospital.

The client care team are the first point of contact for all clients, both on the phone and face to face and their primary aim is to welcome owners and their pets when they arrive, offering a warm and friendly face at an often-anxious time.

No two days are the same for the team who rely on their calm, caring approach and excellent communication skills, to ensure clients and their pets are looked after in the best possible way.

Pictured here are our head receptionists Zoe & Rosie with Darcy.

The job can be challenging, seeing so many sick pets, but as animal lovers, they totally understand what clients go through. Seeing an owner reunited with their pet after spending days in the hospital is an incredible feeling and it makes the job feel totally worthwhile.

The team also work so well with the vets, nurses and reception teams in primary care practices liaising regularly to make sure everyone is kept informed with all the important information about your pet.

They say, never work with children or animals………. But at Anderson Moores, we love what we do.
