At Anderson Moores Veterinary Specialists, we have one of the largest veterinary nursing teams in the south. We accept referrals for Orthopaedic Surgery, Soft Tissue Surgery, Neurology and Neurosurgery, Internal Medicine, Dentistry, Cardiology, Anaesthesia, Diagnostic Imaging, Oncology, Physiotherapy, as well as Emergency and Critical Care (ECC) and offer a Pain Clinic.

As a referral veterinary nurse, you get to develop your skills in each of the disciplines that we offer, from Neurology and Orthopaedics to Emergency Critical Care and Anaesthesia. The role is extremely varied, you could be working on wards, in theatre or helping with imaging.

Our nursing team ensures that every animal within our care has a comfortable and seamless recovery, helping each patient adapt to their procedure's effects and managing and monitoring their treatments and care.

Our dedicated nurses and patient care assistants are committed to providing the highest medical care for pets. Our team of veterinary nurses are dedicated to caring for our patients day and night.

  • We have comprehensive and established clinical and non-clinical programmes for training and development for our nurses. They also contribute towards your CPD points!
  • A multi-disciplinary role in a friendly collaborative team
  • A new Registered Veterinary Nurse (RVN) will be buddied up with an experienced nurse to gain confidence and will be supported by the whole team while they undergo their training
  • A practice in the beautiful Hampshire countryside with a caring, supportive team.

A dedicated team with experienced discipline-specific nurses

Working alongside our multi-disciplinary team of Specialists, Residents and Interns, our nursing team includes nurses who focus on a range of specialisms giving you the opportunity to specialise in an area you're most interested in. These areas include Anaesthesia, Cardiology, Diagnostic Imaging, Dentistry, Internal Medicine, Oncology, theatre and surgical nursing.

As a multi-disciplinary nurse you get to work across all of our services, providing an opportunity for variety if you're keen to work across all disciplines.

We are also a training hospital with student nurses and post-registration programme nurses working alongside our team.

What’s the difference between a shadowing day and a nurse CPD day?

We offer shadowing opportunities to work alongside our nursing team and experience the behind the scenes care they provide. We also provide CPD talks and day events specifically for nurses.
