Fantastic feedback from Bombay CPD event

70 vets and nurses gathered on a sunny September day for a full day of CPD at the beautiful Bombay Sapphire Distillery site.

The day started after refreshments with Adam Mugford our Head of Emergency and Critical Care going through the Initial management of a trauma patient that everyone really enjoyed. He was followed by one of our Specialists in Cardiology, Valentina Palermo speaking on ‘The right heart is dilated: now what do I do?’ where the delegates enjoyed talking through ultrasound images and discussing options.

Lunch in the sunshine was followed by Matteo Cantatore one of our Specialists in Small Animal Surgery covering Gallbladder surgery, discussing acting too early or too late. The delegates found the interactive talk engaging and loved the videos and use of the lap kit. The formal part of the day was concluded with our Clinical Director Carl Bradbrook, a Specialist in Anaesthesia holding an interactive clinical discussion session on Anaesthesia for the high risk patient.

The day was then mixed up with a gin cocktail making session and tours of the greenhouse and distillery as well as learning about the history of the company and the previous lives of the site. The bar and shop were kept open for us and the brave attendees undertook an intense gin masterclass and left the site full of positivity for the day!
