Jessica Zilli

Jessica graduated from the University of Parma in 2015. She then spent a year and a half working in the surgery department of the small animal hospital of the Justus-Liebig-University in Giessen working as a veterinary assistant. After that she moved to the Neurology and Neurosurgery department of the same institution, where she started her PhD project. This looked at the development of a surgical technique for partial cortico-hippocampectomy in cats with temporal epilepsy concentrating on the histological evaluation of the hippocampal cytoarchitecture in normal cats. In 2022, she moved to the UK to start her Neurology Residency at AMVS.
Her specific interests include intracranial neurosurgery and neuropathology of epileptogenic brain diseases in small animals.
