Back to Sustainability

Being part of the IIE scheme and working towards other sustainability accreditations has meant that we have had to make many positive changes in order to reduce our environmental impact at Anderson Moores. These are some of the changes we’ve made since 2022

  • We have established the AMVS Green Team, lead by RVN Sonja Craddock, Facilities and Health and Safety Supervisor Richard Pilgrim and costing clerk Nicola Parker, and supported by several other staff members from different parts of the hospital.
  • We closely monitor our resource use data and strive to reduce our electricity and water use, and to be as efficient as possible in our waste management
  • We use sustainable and reusable products as much as possible, and are constantly looking for ways to reuse and recycle
  • We run regular Green events and encourage all staff members to take part
  • We are officially a Bee Friendly practice, with dedicated wildflower areas to promote insect and plant variety
  • We have our own AMVS grove with Trees For Life
  • We have reduced the number of fleet vehicles in use, and switched from diesel to hybrid vehicles
