At AMVS our team is dedicated to providing the best quality veterinary care – whilst maintaining our commitment to the continual improvement of our environmental performance to reduce our carbon footprint and ensure a positive impact on the environment. 

We are learning every day, finding new ways to improve how we work in an environmentally friendly way, and are committing to this by working towards achieving the highest Green accreditation from the Investors in the Environment as well as other sustainability accreditations. 

At AMVS we consider the local and global environment in all aspects of operating our Specialist-led Veterinary Hospital. Since starting our sustainability journey, we have made many changes such as converting to LED lighting, ordering sustainable products, minimising the use of single use items and being responsible with how we get rid of clinical waste.  

Our Green Strategic Vision is to collect resource data to allow us to analyse our working practices and the daily running of our sites and use the information to reduce resource use and/or switch to sustainable materials wherever possible. We also aim to get all our associates involved in the process of making us a greener practice. The end goal is to achieve an environment where being sustainable becomes an everyday habit for all our staff. 

We are always happy to learn about any new initiatives and welcome you sharing them with us, as it is important to learn from each other and pass on best practice for the sake of the planet.

We are very lucky to be situated in the beautiful Hampshire countryside, and have several exciting on-site projects monitoring the biodiversity in our surroundings and making wildlife friendly changes.
