Carl Bradbrook

Carl graduated from the University of Liverpool in 2002 and after a few years in mixed practice undertook a residency in anaesthesia and intensive care at The Royal Veterinary College. He has worked in both private and university specialist centres and most recently worked as an independent anaesthesia consultant.

Carl is an RCVS Recognised Specialist and a European Veterinary Specialist and is currently Senior Vice President of the Association of Veterinary Anaesthetists. Carl joined Anderson Moores Veterinary Specialists in October 2018. He moved into the Head of Anaesthesia role in 2021 and was appointed Clinical Director in December 2022. His main areas of interest are the use of regional local anaesthetic techniques, monitoring of ventilation and neuroanaesthesia.

Carl recently contributed to chapters on anaesthesia in the BSAVA Neurology Manual and the BSAVA Advanced Nursing Manual. Carl is one of the co-founders of The Zero Pain Philosophy, an educational resource for veterinary professionals and very much enjoys teaching on many aspects of anaesthesia and analgesia.
