First and foremost because the care of your clients' pets is the most important thing to us. Our standard of care is high as you would expect from a team whose clinicians have worked in some of the top university teaching hospitals in the UK. We have brought the high standards of care that you would expect from a university teaching hospital to private referral practice. This is not easy to do, or cheap, but it's important to every one of us.

Our clinicians include leaders in their fields and every one of them is dedicated to providing your clients' pets with the very best treatment and care. Our multi-disciplinary team take referrals in internal medicine, soft tissue surgery, orthopaedics, neurology & neurosurgery, diagnostic imaging, cardiology, dermatology and physiotherapy. We also have a specialist veterinary anaesthetist running the anaesthesia service.

Our nursing team is probably the largest private-practice nursing team in the South. And every one of them is a fully qualified and RCVS-registered veterinary nurse. Many of them have specialist nursing qualifications in medicine and surgery. We could cut costs by employing trainee nurses or fewer nurses but we recognise that the quality of the nursing team plays a huge part in the overall care your clients' pets get.

Separate dog and cat wards, staffed with fully qualified nurses, 24 hours/day, 365 days/year.

Consultations are with the clinician in charge (not an intern) and typically last 1 hour allowing plenty of time for the clinician to assess the case and to discuss treatment options and likely costs with your clients.

Surgeries are performed by surgeons, from first incision to last suture. Unlike some referral centres, the surgeon will not be involved for only part of the surgery, leaving much of the surgery to an intern.

Advanced facilities including positive-pressure, filtered-ventilation surgical suite, on site CT scanner and wide array of other diagnostic and therapeutic equipment.

We will support you with readily available advice on cases not referred, free verbal/e.mail reporting of radiographs and educational resources such as a regular CPD programme, a regular newsletter and downloadable information sheets on our website. We are very happy for you to visit us and we welcome colleagues who want to 'see practice'.

We promise a friendly and professional experience for you and your clients.
