The Anderson Moores neurology and neurosurgery service is run by Ed Ives with the assistance of Anne Fraser, Sinead Hamilton-Bennett, Josep Brocal and a team of fantastic nurses. They provide a comprehensive medical neurology and neurosurgery service.
We have permanent, on-site high-field (1.5T) MRI and CT to enable advanced imaging of the brain and spinal column, in addition to an electrodiagnostic unit for the investigation of neuromuscular diseases. This means that a wide range of neurological disorders affecting the brain, spinal cord, vertebrae, intervertebral discs, peripheral nerves, muscles and neuromuscular junction can be diagnosed and treated in dogs and cats of any age.
Anderson Moores is also one of only a handful of centres in the UK offering cervical disc replacement for disc-associated ‘Wobbler syndrome’.
The neurology service works closely with the other specialty services to provide the best possible care and outcome for each patient that is referred.
