Colette Jolliffe

Colette graduated from the Royal Veterinary College, London in 1996. After several years in small animal practice and in industry she undertook a residency in anaesthesia and analgesia at the Animal Health Trust, Newmarket, gaining the RCVS Certificate in Anaesthesia in 2004 and the Diploma of the European College of Veterinary Anaesthesia and Analgesia in 2006. Colette stayed at the Animal Health Trust, becoming Head of Anaesthesia there in 2009 until its closure in 2020.

Colette is a European and RCVS recognised specialist and is a member of the Examination Committee of the ECVAA. She enjoys teaching vets and vet nurses (both lecturing and informal teaching) and has successfully trained several ECVAA residents as well as mentoring several vets and nurses for further qualifications. She has also written book chapters on anaesthesia for ophthalmic surgery and pharmacology of analgesic drugs for the BSAVA.
