Internal Medicine Clinician

Monica joined us in 2010. Monica graduated from University of Vila Real in Portugal in 2001, and subsequently worked in general practice in the UK as well as completing an internship at The Royal (Dick) School of Veterinary Studies, Edinburgh. Monica then embarked on further training in Medicine, completing a three-year Residency in Internal Medicine at the Glasgow University Veterinary School. This was followed with a year as a Clinical Teacher in Medicine & Oncology at Liverpool University Veterinary School. She has presented several scientific clinical research abstracts and was awarded the RCVS Certificate in Small Animal Medicine in 2007. Monica is at present studying towards European College of Veterinary Internal Medicine (ECVIM) examinations which will make her a Diplomate of the ECVIM. Monica has special interests in oncology, haematology, endocrinology and feline medicine.
