Boodle, a Persian cat with urinary tract problems-

"Dear Mark & everyone who looked after Boodle for us. We are so very grateful to you, Mark, for your expert veterinary skils, diagnosis and treatment, to the nurses for your loving care in the cat ward, to the receptionists who welcomed us and everyone else who helped our beloved cat Boodle.

He is now himself again and thoroughly enjoying the warm sunny weather. He strolls in and out of the house, eats and drinks well and seems to be having no trouble with urinating and all in all is his purring, gentle old self again.

I am most grateful for the time and attention you gave to Boodle and also to me. With very best wishes, Elizabeth M"

Bryn, a Golden Retriever with a cruciate ligament rupture

"Dear Andy, Thank you for your skill, care and attention to Bryn (TPLO surgery May 2010). We are pleased to report that Bryn is exercising really well, no limping and extremely happy. We will always be grateful to you and wish you and your family a healthy and happy 2011. Wendy & Bill R."

Max, a cat shot by an airgun and who developed a septic peritonitis:

"To all the staff, we can never thank you all enough for the special treatment, love and care you have shown to little Max. Your hard work has pulled him through a terrible accident that shouldn't have occured. He is a very special cat who was so lucky. I don't think we'll let him out of our sight! Thank you to each and everyone of you, love the ***** family"

Max, a spaniel with a severe knee infection following surgery elsewhere, resulting  in a hindlimb amputation:

"Dear Mr Moores,

One year ago I had to make the decision to have my dog’s leg amputated. I have left writing to you until now so that I could really let you know how Max is doing.

For the first couple of months I did have problems with the Pseudomonas [infection] returning (Max already had that when I brought him to you). Since that resolved Max has not looked back, he is no different on 3 legs than he was on 4. I have tried to hold him back and build up the strength in his other back leg slowly but it has been difficult with such a lively lad. He will still jump a 4 foot fence and walk for miles and ‘give me a ball and I will chase it’!!

I will admit we do not walk the miles we did. Max would, it is me that is aware of when his back leg is getting tired but Max has his life back albeit on 3 legs. He is happy,  lively and for him life is great and I am quite amazed how often people do not even notice he only has 3 legs, it is good.

My decision was a hard one to make but I have never regretted making it. Thank you from me for giving me my ‘mad cap’ dog back.

I wish you all the best. Yours very sincerely, EP"

Sidney, a Labrador with a 'run-on-stick' injury

"Dear Davina and all the lovely nurses who helped to look after my dog Sidney. Thank you so much for saving his life and all your love and care making him better. Sidney is my best friend, I couldn't bear him not to be at home with us. Thank you again, Jack"
